Who we are

Chest Pain Helpline is a cardiac guidance service run by Heartmate Institute Private Limited, Cuttack, Odisha, India ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Chest Pain Helpline mobile app (com.heartmatedigital.chestpainhelpline), the patient web app, and this website.

Information we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, and, if you add them, age, gender and address.
  • Health information you submit: symptoms, risk factors, vitals (pulse, blood pressure, respiration), chest-pain details, current medications, your message to the cardiologist, and an ECG photo or file if you attach one.
  • Clinical responses: the doctor's message, prescriptions, follow-up dates and diet plans we create for you.
  • Emergency contacts you choose to add (name, relation, phone number).
  • Payment records: plan purchased, amount, and the Razorpay order and payment IDs. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's screen and are never seen or stored by us.
  • Login codes: one-time codes sent to your phone (WhatsApp) and email to sign you in.

How we use it

  • To let a cardiologist review your request and respond to you.
  • To issue prescriptions, diet plans and follow-up reminders.
  • To activate and manage your subscription and consultations.
  • To sign you in securely and keep your account safe.
  • To contact you about your request, by WhatsApp, email or phone.

Who can see it

Your health information is visible to you and to the Heartmate Institute doctors and authorised staff who handle your request. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

We share only what is needed with service providers that help us run the service: Razorpay (payments), a WhatsApp messaging provider and an email provider (login codes and notifications), and our cloud hosting provider. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Security and retention

Data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and access to patient records is limited to authorised staff. We keep your records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet medical record-keeping and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise them.

Your choices and deleting your data

You can view and update your profile in the app. You can ask us to correct your information, or to delete your account and the health data linked to it, at any time by emailing us from the address registered on your account. We will act on the request within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to keep.

The ECG upload and the optional fields in the consultation form are your choice; you can leave optional fields blank.

Not a substitute for emergency care

The helpline gives guidance and is not an emergency service. If you think you are having a heart attack, call 108 or 112 immediately.

Children

The service is for adults. A parent or guardian may use it on behalf of a minor patient. We do not knowingly collect data from children for any other purpose.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date below. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
